Hyderabad, October 29, 2008: IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited, Hyderabad based infrastructure major has bagged the ‘Fastest Growing Construction Companies in India’ award. Maytas Infra is ranked first amongst several other participating construction companies in the large size category. The award is based on a study carried out by the leading construction magazine Construction World and will be published in its Construction World Annual 2008 issue.

Maytas Infra has been awarded this title for the third year consecutively –
2006 - Small size category
2007 - Medium size category; and now
2008 - Large size category.

The award was presented to Mr. P.K.Madhav, CEO, Maytas Infra by Chief Guest- Maharashtra Minister for Public Works, Anil Deshmukh amidst an august gathering of captains of the industry, bankers, bureaucrats and technocrats.

Construction World is the only organization carrying on the process of ranking and awarding the industry participants over the past six years thereby fulfilling its mission of raising the standards of excellence in the industry. It regularly ranks and then awards architects, builders, contractors, building material manufacturers and equipment companies. The criteria for selecting the winners are based on last five year’s average of factors like Revenue, Profit After Tax, Assets, and Equity.
