Hyderabad, December 4: IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited, a Hyderabad based Construction and Infrastructure Development Company announced that Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has entrusted the Company with contracts for four Rural Electrification works worth Rs. 222.25 crores under Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY). Under this scheme IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited will be electrifying 4125 villages and and there by contributing in illuminating 215843 BPL houses. Maytas Infra would be executing these projects on a turnkey basis, and the scope involves design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning in Khurda and Sundergarh districts of Orissa, and West Midnapore district of West Bengal. The details of each contract are as below:
