Hyderabad, India, October 31, 2008: IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited today declared its unaudited financial results for the second quarter of the current financial year 2008-09. The Company achieved a turnover of Rs. 354 crores.

Maytas reported an EBIDTA of Rs. 68 crores and a Net Profit of Rs. 17 crores for the quarter. The Company has posted an EPS of Rs.2.86 (non- annualized).

The Company recorded a turnover of Rs 738 crores for the half year ended September 30, 2008 with an EBIDTA of Rs 137 crores and a Net Profit of Rs 37 crores which account for 18.6% and 5% of the Turnover.

The Company’s Order Book stands at Rs. 11,554 crores as on 30th September 08 with an employee strength of 2962 as on 30 September, 08.

Commenting on the results, Mr. P K Madhav, CEO, Maytas Infra said, “The results for the quarter are in line with our projections for the year. We have witnessed a significant growth in our Company over the last few years”. He also added, “We are an integrated infrastructure Company with profound presence in the construction and BOT space”.
