Maytas Infra bags Rs. 110 crores project from Southern Railways

~To execute the doubling of Broad Gauge Track between Chengalpattu-Villupuram~

Hyderabad, 6 Jan 2009: IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited, a leading construction and infrastructure Development Company announced that the Southern Railway has entrusted the Company with a project worth Rs. 110 crores for doubling the BG (Broad Gauge) track between Chengalpattu to Villupuram. This project is a joint venture with CT Ramanathan (CTR) and Maytas Infra will execute the projects in 18 months from the date of the agreement.

Reach I - Rs. 39 crores

  • Between Chengalpattu (including) till Melmaruvathur (excluding) while excluding all the works
  • in Madurantakam Yard limits.
    Chainage 59080 to 94000

Reach II - Rs. 35 crores

  • Between Melmaruvathur (excluding) till Tindivanam (including).
  • Chainage 94000 to 127000

Reach III - Rs. 36 crores

  • Between Tindivanam (excluding) and Villupuram (excluding) while excluding all the works in Vikravandi & Mundiyampakkam yard limits
  • Chainage 127000 to 161000
