Maytas Infra successfully commissions the prestigious RJPL Pipeline for Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL)

Hyderabad, March 30, 2009: Maytas Infra Ltd. achieved a significant milestone by completing the commissioning process for 110 km high pressure gas pipeline project between Rajkot and Jamnagar (RJPL) in Gujarat on March 25th 2009. Gujarat state owned Gujarat State Petronet Ltd. (GSPL) awarded the Rs. 303.45 crores, EPC contract to MNJV which is a joint venture between Maytas Infra and Naftogazbud, a Ukrainian giant in pipeline construction. The pipeline is being laid to supply Natural Gas to Reliance’s upcoming refinery at Jamnagar from the Godavari Basin in Kakinada.

The commissioning also marks Maytas Infra winning the certification to do jobs for line diameters of 48” in O&G projects – which puts Maytas Infra into an elite league.

The Oil & Gas Team has completed the mechanical completion of the pipeline in October, and Nitrogen filling was completed in December last year. The high pressure 30 inch diameter and 110 km long pipeline is laid between Jamnagar and Rajkot which is part of the GSPL pipeline from Bharuch to Jamnagar.

The scope of work for this project includes complete residual / detailed engineering, procurement and supply, fabrication, storage at site, transportation, erection, installation, inspection, testing, preparation and restoration of ROU, pre-commissioning, commissioning, one month operation, construction of terminal and tap off stations along with all associated works.

Including GSPL, Maytas Infra currently has 2 projects in its O&G portfolio – the other project of construction of Boundary Wall, Refinery, Roads, STP, W&D, Drains, for Refinery Township for Paradeep worth Rs. 37 crores has been completed successfully, and is in the process of getting handed over to the client.
