   Upgradation of Huda Sector Road in Gurgaon
IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services)has been awarded a turnkey EPC contract by DLF Limited for a value of Rs. 408.50 crores for construction of High Speed HUDA Sector Road starting from NH-8 to Sector 55/56 at Gurgaon. The Project is to be completed in 24 months from the date of commencement of work with a maintenance period of 5 years.

   Four Laning of Kiratpur Ner Chowk Section of NH-21 in the State of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Kiratpur Ner Chowk Expressway Limited (KNCEL), an SPV incorporated by ITNL for the Project for a total value of Rs. 1436.08 crores of which the company's share is Rs. 1210.50 crores. The project is an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract that involves four laning of Kiratpur Ner Chowk Section of NH-21 in the state of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The project completion period is 1005 days from commencement date. The total length of the project is 84.375 Kms. covering the district of Rupnagar in Punjab, and the districts of Bilaspur and Manali in Himachal Pradesh.

The scope of work includes 67.3 Kms. of Road Works, Minor Bridges, 18 numbers of Major Bridges, 5 numbers of Main Tunnels including one Escape Tunnel, Flyover, Pedestrian/Cattle Underpass, Toll Plaza, Truck Lay Byes, Bus Bays, and so on.

The National Highway No. 21 is an important link connecting national capital and tourist destination of Manali in Himachal Pradesh. NH 21 is also a major link to Leh in Ladakh.

   Assam-17 Project

IL&FS Engineering Services bagged AS-17 road project in September, 2005. The contract package No. EW –II (AS-17) involves widening and strengthening of existing National Highway from two lane to four lane from Km.36.00 to Km.5.50 from Daboka to Nagaon section of NH - 36 in Assam.

The project includes the construction of 15 Nos. of 2 lane minor bridges, 8.3 Km length of RCC retaining wall with 8 Nos. of underpass and 6.6 Km service road on both the sides at under pass/retaining wall locations. As per the original contract provision type of main carriageway pavement was partly rigid and partly flexible but later on Vide letter No. SWK/NGG/EW-II (AS-17)/MAY/129A it was intimated the change of main carriageway pavement configuration and converted to fully Rigid Pavement.

The original cost of the project was 202.18 crores. The revised cost is Rs. 293.14 crores. The contract period is for 30 months.

   Assam-19 Project

IL&FS Engineering Services bagged AS-19 road project in September, 2005. This contract package No. EW-II (AS-19) involves the widening and strengthening of existing National Highway from two lanes to four lanes from Km.230.50 to Km.205.00 of Dharmatul to Sonapur section of NH-37 in Assam on East-West Corridor under Phase II Programme of NHDP contract package.

The contractual project duration is of 30 months. The initial cost of the project is Rs. 173.15 crores and the revised cost is Rs. 293.07 crores. The scope of work includes construction of major bridges, slab culverts, minor bridges, box culverts, vehicular underpass, pedestrian underpass and so on.

   AS-25

NHAI has awarded the AS-25 project to IL&FS Engineering Services on March 2, 2011. The project value is 374.90 crores. The work for this package AS-25 consists of constructing 27.600 Kms of existing National Highway to four lane of flexible bituminous concrete pavement (including sub layers of GSB drainage layer, WMM layer, DBM layer, and a wearing surface of BC) with a raised median of 1.50 m width. New construction will incorporate improvement of vertical and horizontal alignment and lengthening of existing cross drainage works. The scope of work includes major bridges, minor bridges, flexible pavement, culverts, HP culverts, slab culverts, box culverts, and so on.

   Nagaland Road Project

Nagaland Road Project was bagged by Maytas-Gayatri JV on February 3, 2011. The work involves two laning of Longleng- Changtongya Road, Mon-Tamlu-Merangkong Road, Phek -Pfutzero Road and Zunheboto-Chakabama Road in the state of Nagaland under phase A of Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for North East (SARDP-NE). The client is Public Works Department (PWD) (NH), and the value of Work under JV is Rs. 1089.55 crores out of which the Company’s share is 62%. The period of project is 36 months.

   Pune-Solapur Road Project

The 4 laning of the Pune Solapur section of NH 9 in km 144/400 to km 249/000 was entrusted to PSRDCL on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis. The Agreement for the project was signed on September 30, 2009, and the financing arrangement for financial closure was submitted by the Concessionaire on January 25, 2010. The Concessionaire - PSRDCL appointed IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited as the Developer for the development of four laning and IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited entered into an agreement with IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited for Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Pune Solapur road project. The project cost is Rs. 909.76 crores, the construction period is 24 months, and the Concession Period is 20 years including construction period.

Completed Works

   NICE Project

One of IL&FS Engineering Services' challenging projects is the Bangalore - Mysore Infrastructure Corridor Project. This prestigious Rs.1500 million project includes a 2 km expressway and a major clover leaf grade separator - a structure to provide uninterrupted traffic flow.

   Mumbai - Pune Expressway

This Rs.1.5 billion six-lane project connects the industrial city of Pune with the financial capital of the country, Mumbai. IL&FS Engineering Services implemented a part of this prestigious project for MSRDC, Mumbai, using latest equipment like slip form pavers, auto controlled batching plant and 450 ton capacity mobile crusher. This well laid out world-class expressway has drastically reduced the travel time between the two cities.

   Trichy-Padalur Road Project on NH-45

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited has been awarded the Project for Construction of 4 laning the existing 2 lane section from Km.285 (Padalur) to KM.325(Trichy) on NH-45 in the State of Tamil Nadu by Indu Projects Limited. Work is in full swing in the entire stretch of the Project. The scope of the work includes construction of new 2 lane road carriageway with flexible pavement, widening and strengthening of the existing 2 carriageway, construction of around 69 cross drainage structures by widening/reconstruction considering the condition of the existing structure, construction of longitudinal drains at the end of service roads and between service road and main carriageway, improvement of road junctions, construction of toll plaza and road furniture. The value of the Project is about Rs. 190 crores.

NH-45 is an important Highway, connecting Chennai and Dindigul via Trichy. It is the lifeline for the economy of the Region and the State. It connects Nagapatnam and Tuticorin, famous ports of Tamil Nadu. The Highway is being improved by NHAI to augment the capacity for catering growing needs of the trade and tourism needs of the State. Most of the famous devotional places like Srirangam, Tanjavur, Madurai, and Palani and the famous hill station, Kodaikanal fall either on or within the vicinity the Highway forming the main corridor for tourism.

   Chattisgarh (Contract Package-1)

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) was awarded Chattisgarh (Contract Package-1) for Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Rajnandangaon to Mohla Section (from Km.0.00 to Km. 72.40) from NCC Limited in August, 2006. The original cost of the project was Rs. 65.14 crores which was revised to Rs. 70.04 crores. The construction period was for 24 months. The project was successfully completed on 14th August 2009 and the ‘Taking Over Certificate’ was received on September 24, 2009.

   Chattisgarh (Contract Package-2)

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) was awarded Chattisgarh (Contract Package-2) for ‘Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Road from Mohla (Km.72+400) to Maharashtra Border (Km.110+590) from Public Works Department (PWD), Chhattisgarh in August, 2006. The cost of the project is Rs. 29.15 crores which was revised to Rs. 22.0 crores. The construction period was 24 months. The project was successfully completed on 1st October 2008 and the ‘Taking Over Certificate’ was received on March 12, 2009.

   Ring Road project for Bangalore Development Authority

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited successfully completed the construction of six lane outer ring road for Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). The project was handed over to the client.

The project involved construction of six lane outer ring road with two lane service road on both sides connecting Mysore road and Magadi road in Bangalore for 4.82 kms. The Rs. 66.62 crores project was awarded to IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited in Dec 2005.

The scope of work included construction of 6 lane dual carriageway with 2 lane service roads on both sides, four vehicular underpass, one minor bridge, widening of existing culverts, reinforced cement concrete and reinforced earth retaining walls, junction improvement, R.C.C drains, traffic signs, road markings, pavement structure and marking, painting, and so on. It also comprised earthwork, temporary earth retaining structures, electrical works related to illumination above and below the underpass, main carriageway and service roads, landscaping works and construction of footpaths, medians, islands, kerbs, storm water drains, drain cover slabs as well.

   Bangalore Elevated Tollway Ltd (BETL)

The Consortium of Maytas Infra Limited, Soma Enterprise Limited and NCC Limited has completed this much awaited project under public private partnership (PPP) mode. The elevated highway has been built with an investment of Rs. 765 crores. The Company's portion of the works is Rs. 271.44 crores. BETL, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed by the Consortium has built this project on a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The Ten Laned Mixed Corridor to Electronic City, Bangalore on NH7 was inaugurated by Mr. Kamal Nath, Minister for Road Transport and Highways in Bangalore on 22 January, 2010.This 9.985 km elevated highway is the longest elevated national highway in the countryand has set the benchmark and standard for such projects in future for the country.

Besides the elevated expressway, BETL has also developed the 6 lanes divided main carriageways with RCC storm water drain, 8 pedestrian underpasses, and 16 bus bays & shelters. Also, a 4 lane flyover at Bommasandra (km 21.170 to km 22.000), and 6 lane flyovers at Chandapura (km 23.720 to km 24.600) and Attibele (km 31.690 to km 32.400) have been built to ease the regular highway traffic along the stretch. The Consortium will operate and maintain the roads in the stretch between Silk Board Junction and Inter State Border for the next 18 years. The concession period is 20 years.

   IL&FS Engineering Services Wins Rs. 69.97 Crores Order for Construction of Elevated Depot Cum Workshop for RMRG (Phase II)
IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) has bagged a contract for construction of Elevated Depot Cum Workshop for the Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon, (RMRG- Phase-II). This contract involves Civil Works (Structural Works) for Elevated Depot Cum Workshop near AIT Chowk, Gurgaon (South Extension) but excluding architectural finishing works for RMRG (Phase II). The total value of the contract is Rs. 69.97 Crores, and is to be completed within 24 months from the date of issue of LOA.
   RVNL Kolkata Elevated Metro Stations Contract
IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) has been awarded a contract by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Kolkata for a value of Rs.299.76 Crores towards construction of Seven Elevated Metro stations from Sub CBD-1 to Titumir in New Garia - Airport Metro Corridor of Kolkata Metro Line in the state of West Bengal. The Project is to be completed in 36 months from the date of issue of Letter of Acceptance (LOA).
   Construction of Elevated Stations for Rapid Metro Rail-Gurgaon (Phase II)
IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) has won an order for construction of Elevated Stations for the Rapid Metro Rail Project, Phase-II (RMRG). This contract involves civil structural works for construction of (05) five elevated stations at DLF Phase-I, Sushant Lok, Sector 53-54, AIT Chowck, and Sector 55-56 in Gurgaon (South Extension) for RMRG (Phase II). The total value of the contract is Rs. 84.30 Crores, and is to be completed in 24 months.
   Construction of Railway Flyover for Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL)

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) in joint venture with GPT Infraprojects Ltd. has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) for the work of design and construction of rail flyover near Ganjkhwaja in Uttar Pradesh and formation in embankments/cuttings including blanketing, bridges (major, minor & RUBs), supply and spreading of ballast and other related infrastructural works for double track electrified railway line in different stretches between Dehri-on-Sone & Mughalsarai section of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor in the states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh on Design Build Lump Sum basis.

The total value of this project is Rs. 144.65 Crores, which is to be completed in 30 months.

   Construction of Elevated Viaduct for Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMRG) at Gurgaon, Haryana (Phase II)
IL&FS Engineering Services has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for construction of Elevated Viaduct for the Rapid Metro Rail Project, Phase-II (RMRG). This contract involves construction of single and double track Elevated Viaduct from chainage 15950m to 22650m (approximate) for Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL), an SPV formed for the implementation of RMRG Project. The total value of this contract is Rs. 255.84 Crores, and the project completion period is 24 months.
   Broad Gauge Railway Line Project in Kadapa and Nellore Districts of Andhra Pradesh
IL&FS Engineering Services joint venture (JV) has won a contract from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), Chennai for construction of a new Broad Gauge Railway Line in Kadapa and Nellore districts of Andhra Pradesh. The value of the contract is Rs. 269.19 crores, and the Company’s share is 50%. The contract involves construction of two tunnels at chainage from Km.18660 to Km.19600, and from Km.23370 to Km.29990 with ballastless track & construction of road bed from Km.17/0 to Km.35/0 including earthwork in formation, major & minor bridges for new Broad Gauge Railway Line (Obulavaripalle to Venkatachalam) in Kadapa and Nellore districts of Andhra Pradesh in South Central Railway. The project has to be completed within 40 months.

   Doubling of Bhigwan – Mohol Section for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited on Central Railway Near Solapur
IL&FS Engineering Services has been awarded a contract by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Mumbai for the construction of Roadbed, Major & Minor Bridges, Track Linking (excluding supply of rails, ordinary track sleepers and thick web switches), Outdoor Signalling and Electrical (General) works in connection with Doubling of Bhigwan – Mohol Section (127.14 Kms) part of Daund – Gulbarga Doubling in Solapur division of Central Railways in the state of Maharashtra, India. The Project is to be completed in 42 months from the date of commencement of work. The value of the contract is Rs. 158.01 crores.

   MRTS – Phase I & II in Southern Railway at Chennai

IL&FS Engineering Services is executing the below MRTS works:

# MRTS – Phase-I-Madras Beach Tirumailai – Mundakanniamman Koil Station building works - Superstructure, platform roof, steel truss, sheeting and RCC works in columns, beams, floor slabs, roof slabs, etc. and finishing works consisting of brick work, plastering, flooring, joineries, water supply, sewerages, construction of retaining wall, compound wall, approach bridge, circulating road, etc.

IL&FS Engineering Services is executing proposed widening and re-grading of existing MG formation to BG standard, construction of Major Bridges, Station Building, S&T Accommodation, Level Crossing, Platform, Goods Platform, CC Apron, Platform Shelter, Foot Over Bridges, Circulating Area, Approach Road, Protective works Passenger Amenities, Watering Arrangements, Transportation of Staging materials etc., between Chengalpattu (including) and Villupuram (excluding), and also excluding all the works in Vikravandi & Muniyampakkam yard limits. The value of the contract is Rs. 110.96 crores

   Construction of Bridges, Earthwork etc. for KRCL at Jammu

IL&FS Engineering Services is executing Konkan Railway Bridges’ work that includes construction of civil works including Major Bridges (RCC Substructure only, RCC Box Culverts, RCC Arch Bridges), Earthwork in Embankment and Cutting, Feeder Roads, Protection and Allied Works between Km 30/000 to Km 50/400 of single BG Line on Katra-Loale section under USBRL Project. The value of the project is Rs. 227.90 crores.

Completed Works

   RMRG (Phase I) - Design & Construction of Elevated Viaduct (Single/Double Line) and Six Stations for Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited at Gurgaon, Haryana

IL&FS Engineering Services has successfully executed RMRG (Phase I) project. IERS (ITNL Enso Rail System Limited) awarded the contract of construction of single and double track Elevated Viaduct including six station buildings to IL&FS Engineering Services. The contract agreement was signed between ITNL ENSO Rail Systems Limited (IERS) and IL&FS Engineering Services on April 30, 2010. Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL) is an SPV formed for the implementation of Gurgaon Metro Rail Project. Value of the project: Rs. 259.30 Crores.

Highlights:

   Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS -Chennai) - Phase-II – Southern Railway, Chennai

IL&FS Engineering Services was involved with MRTS-Phase-II-Extension from Velachery to St. Thomas Mount. The work involved construction of pile foundation and substructure consisting of cast-in-situ 1200mm dia bored piles, pile caps, piers and pier caps etc., and other miscellaneous works between ch.19.800 and ch. 21.050- Reach-I. This work was completed by MIL (now IL&FS ECCL)-CTR JV (70:30). The value of the project is Rs. 22.732 crores. The project was successfully completed on October 12, 2010.

   Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS -Chennai) - Phase-II - Southern Railway, Chennai

IL&FS Engineering Services was involved with MRTS-Phase-II-Extension from Velachery to St. Thomas Mount. The work involved construction of pile foundation and substructure consisting of cast-in-situ 1200mm dia bored piles, pile caps, piers and pier caps etc., and other miscellaneous works between ch.21.050 and ch. 22.050- Reach II. This work was completed by MIL (now IL&FS ECCL). The value of the project is Rs. 17.04 crores. The project was successfully completed on March 31, 2011.

   Construction of Boundary Wall & Other Depot Works for Byappanahalli Depot, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL)
IL&FS Engineering Services was involved with construction of boundary wall, roads, drains, and earth filling for Byappanahalli Depot, Bangalore. The value of the project is Rs. 33.05 crores. The project was successfully completed on November 30, 2010.

Ports and Airports
IL&FS Engineering Services is into development of ports involving construction of berths, jetties, breakwaters, marine structures and cargo handling facilities, and also development of land for setting up port-based industries. The Airport sector covers construction of terminal buildings, runways, aprons, parking bays, hangers and other structures.

Dighi Port EPC Project

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) received a Letter of Award (LoA) from IL&FS Maritime Infrastructure Company Limited (IMICL) on behalf of Dighi Port Limited for a total value of Rs. 168 Crores for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of Multipurpose Berth, Backup Yard Development, and Utilities of Multipurpose Terminal on North Side of Dighi Port, Agardanda in the state of Maharashtra.

The scope of works includes Design & Construction of Multipurpose Berth (335m*35m) and Development of Backup Area of 50 Acres, Ground Improvement Works & Paving of 16 Hectares Area, Construction of Utilities like Buildings, Internal Roads, Water Supply & Drainage, Power Supply, Railway Siding within the Backup Area and Dust Suppression works.
